Large exhibition of a famous Russian artist in the Museum of the New Jerusalem

4. Exhibition design

This comprehensive exhibition of the famous Russian artist was divided into several chapters: winter holidays, summer holidays, peasantry, russian aristocracy, etc. One signature colour was appointed to each chapter, highlighting the character of the subject.

The exhibition space was altered and diversified throughout by the insertion of curved partitions which provided new passages and rooms. To display the curatorial text, as well as increase the physical distance between exhibit and viewer, some of the vertical exhibition surfaces were slanted inwards at their lower part so that an inclined surface was created.
